How does it work?
Cashflow planning will evaluate your income and expenditure and looks at how you can plan your retirement using this income effectively and in the most tax efficient manner. Taking your monthly expenditure into consideration, it will show you how much monthly income you could live on during your retirement based on your present levels of income. It will also take any capital into account and show you how this can be used to either provide funds during your retirement or assist with funding a specific goal – for example a dream holiday or buying a second property.
What happens if my circumstances change?
Cashflow planning should be an important part of your long-term financial plan and, if carried out on a regular basis, should help you adapt your finances to cope with unexpected changes in your personal circumstances, for example a sudden loss in income or an unexpected inheritance.
Our advisers actively encourage clients to participate in this process to help them understand their short and long-term goals and help them focus on what is important for them during their retirement.
